The world of yachting and sailing competitions became increasingly popular in the past 20 years.
A perfect mix between cruising and competition are the Fun Regatta's. These are becoming major social events, hitting the press throughout the world. Fun Regatta's were first organized in the sixties. Becoming increasingly popular, some of those evolved into major events, like the Heineken Cup (St Maarten, Caribbean), the ARC, Cowes Week, the Nioulargue (Voiles de St Tropez), Rolex Cup (Sardinia), King's Cup (Thailand), .. Participants may be boat owners, groups of friends or colleagues forming teams of sailors and non sailors.

At Sail & Sun Cruises we enjoy participating fun regatta's, and we like to share this experience with our friends and clients. We take care of the whole charter organisation or even set up a complete organisation on ourselves. Discover some of those events here further.
