DRENEC was originally built as a working trawler
in 1965 by the Haalense shipyard in The Netherlands.
Later she was converted into an Expedition Vessel,
with a 'Ice'-class certification. She has recently
undergone a complete refit in order to accom- modate
her passengers in a comfortable and safe way. However,
DRENEC keeps the spirit and the atmosphere of a
working ship.
After several round-the-world trips
for TV produc- tion or scientific missions, she
is regularly char- tered in Scandinavia, along the
Atlantic coast and in the Mediterranean.
All interiors are designed in a
nautical style with teak and brass fittings.
Accommodation consists of
one master cabin and three cabins with double bed,
each with their own private bathroom.
