Designed by the famous architect John G. Alden,
the Lelantina was constructed in 1937 and has been
beautifully restored in recent years, with a considerable
amount of energy put into making even the slightest
details perfect.
She is based in St Tropez where
so many passers-by admire her amazingly uncluttered
teak deck. Stepping aboard is an exciting feeling,
but walking barefoot across this endless deck ,
or snuggling into the little aft cockpit's cushions,
are a source of extreme pleasure. When under sail,
Lelantina is a model of comfort and balance.
Inside, the warm decor is
constructed out of different types of wood, teak,
pale pine and mahogany. The simple but original
woodwork has the allure of tradition. High tech
ingredients are discretely integrated, like a nice
sound installation and a beamer used for business
meetings.
